Complex Machining
As a leader in the Aerospace and Defense Industries, Votaw provides a wide range of flight hardware and large fabricated tools. Some components and tools weigh up to 35 tons; all of which are handled at our in-house facilities.
Votaw's CNC machining capability for both turning and machining centers is at the top of its field. We can handle a large variety of work, both large and small, in work piece size and quantity. Complex machining is achieved with sophisticated 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers.
Turning
Votaw's CNC Vertical Turning centers can turn up to 28 ft. in diameter by 180" high. Votaw's horizontal lathes can swing up to 108" on centers and are adjustable to 360".
Milling
Votaw's Milling Centers can mill components in 3, 4 and 5 axes. The largest machining center can accommodate components up to 60’ long X 6’ wide X 5’ high. All machining centers use 30, 40, 45 and 50 series tool holders.
